LEGO Harry Potter REVIEW: 4 Privet Drive 75968

This 2020 remake of LEGO 4 Privet Drive from the Harry Potter theme is a serious upgrade from the original! LEGO included three very cool Harry Potter specific features to set 75968.
It took me an hour and fifty minutes to build 4 Privet Drive.
The set contains 797 pieces and costs 69.99.
But its definitely on sale on Amazon right now July 2nd 2021 for 55.99.
The first time LEGO attempted the Dursley family home it was titled 4728: Escape from Privet Drive.
And just like the original release 4 Privet Drive includes Mr.
Weasleys flying Ford Anglia.
First this is just a better car build.
The car actually looks like a Ford Anglia.
The trunk has been designed to attach a chain in case some bars need some breaking.
And although the interior isnt built out at all there are places to put your minifigs.
4 Privet drive is a dollhouse build.
There are three very cool features to this build.
1.
You can access Harrys room under the stairs from a book hinge.
2.
The chimney was been designed to allow letters to spill into the Dursley living room.
3.
Harrys barred-up bedroom window is detachable.
It removes smoothly and does not change the structure or support of the build.
But I find it a little disappointing that 4 Privet Drive is only- the living room Harrys room under the stairs and Dudleys second bedroom.
I love that LEGO was inspired by Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for this build.
I just wish there was more to the home.
I do really like the greenery that LEGO accessorized the build with.
I love the Dursely figures in this set! I wish Vernon and Dudley could be fat LEGO pieces but their sweater game is on point! The Aunt Petunia fig has a stern expression but is honestly too pretty.
Dobbys eyes creep me out.
The molding of his head is very cool and unique to this set.
But his eyes.
I dont know.
They scare me.
Ron Weasley and Harry Potter are both child-size minifgs as this set is based on the first 2 Harry Potter booksmovies.
But wait! Theres more!!! This set included 2 owls.
One is certainly Hedwig.
We get a stand-alone street sign for Privet Drive.
And LEGO included the trifle that Dobby drops on one of the Dursleys house guest!!! This inclusion is my favorite part of this set.
The trifle is even topped with a cherry.
