Mahajan is working as Technical Head at Maccaferri ISEAP.
He has key experience is in the field of soil reinforcement geotechnical centrifuge modelling instrumentation pseudo-static earthquake analysis ground improvement retaining structures slope stability river training channel lining and rockfall protection.
Presently he represents Asia at Maccaferri Innovation Center and frames training need for employees. He did research on Centrifuge Model Studies on Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Slopes.
He has published papers in Refereed International Journal and Peer-reviewed International Conferences.
He has completed his doctoral studies from IIT Bombay.
He is university rank holder at graduation level. Dr.
Ratnakar possesses diversified experience in various Civil Engineering Fields and associated with a number of prestigious projects in India and abroad.
He has worked as a consultant for hydroelectric project in Indonesia.
Also he has contributed to various codal guidelines such as IRC89.
IRC 34 IRC 56 IRC 113 IRC SP 116 IRC SP 113 etc. About IGSSSC: The scope of Geotechnical Engineering has expanded significantly in the last 30 years still many students are not exposed to the wide coverage of current trends and exciting professionalteachingresearch opportunities in geotechnical engineering.
To motivate the students to give them exposure to different careers and opportunities in this area and also to develop leadership skills among the students the Indian Geotechnical Society IGS has advised every local chapter to establish a student chapter. In response to that IGS Silchar Chapter headed by Prof.
