The online version of Indian rummy comes in different formats and variations making it even more fun and exciting! At Junglee you can play and enjoy three different types of rummy games: points rummy pool rummy and deals rummy.
But do you know how to play 13 card rummy variations? Although the objective remains common across all games there are slight variations in the gameplay and rules that you need to know about.
So to provide you with an overview of these variations the OG rummy experts Annu Kapoor and Amit Kapoor are back with yet another episode of Rummy School.
Points rummy is regarded as the fastest variation of the Indian rummy game.
It lasts for a single deal and the game is played for points having a predetermined rupee value in cash games.
The winner of the game gets zero points and the points for losing players are calculated on the basis of ungrouped cards in their hands.
Pool rummy is the exhaustive variation of the Indian rummy game that is played for several rounds.
In this game the players have to pay a fixed entry fee that goes to the final prize pool.
Along with the basic objective the participants have to keep their points below 101 points in 101 pool rummy and 201 points in 201 pool rummy.
The player with the lowest point score at the end of the final round wins the game.
Deals rummy variant is played for a fixed number of deals where chips are allocated at the beginning of the game.
A player with the highest number of chips at the end of the final deal wins the game.
It is quite similar to the points rummy variation except that here the winning player gets half the points from the losing players.
