I managed to pull her from a daily and then got copies here and there from various events.
She was considered the cream of the crop of Fairy-type coverage.
Lucky me.
As the owner of a 55 Diantha Ill let you on a little secret...
I abhor that womans kit with every fiber of my being.
Evidently I wasnt alone in this sentiment.
DeNA up and released 8 enablers to facilitate Dianthas pitiful existence. What does Diantha have to do with anything? Well SS Gladion has a fair amount of set-up overlap with Diantha but he is actually competent.
If you thought SS Lysandre has a broken B move youve seen nothing champ.
Gladions output is nothing short of destructive when paired with ANY of Dianthas enhancers.
Kids stronk.
Not much else to it.
I normally invest into Striker MFs but Gladion has the funni numbers at base which is all I want from him.
Gladion has great defensive passives: he is completely immune to status and interferences and he also bounces stat drops back to the enemy.
The latter has a fun interaction with the Five Stats Down option where you can punish center with debuffs.
That trick completely derailed my sequences. I ended up using a lot of rivals so this video is dedicated to skippingmud ig. 0:00 - GLAD for the early pull am I right 0:32 - General Team Fleur Cannon is 90 accurate and Gladions 15 kit cannot fix that.
Gladion is similar to 15 NY Lisia in this regard.
The difference is that Gladions self-sufficiency and scaling are much more pronounced so he can afford dedicated Acc support.
For example: Marlons got Team Pinpoint Entry 1 to ensure Gladion lands those juicy Sp.Atk drops.
Marlon also comes Unbending Stalwart to remain unbothered by Gladions Five Stats Down greed.
Any enhancer fits in the third slot.
Regardless Pinpoint Entry 2 might be desirable for some lineups.
2:27 - Alolamaxxing Have you Anniversary Lillie post-pull regrets? Well she can boost Gladion with her master passive Moonblast debuffs.
OG Lillie is for X Accuracy All.
OG Lillie doesnt get along with Five Stats Down so you can appreciate a more standard B Fleur Cannon debuffing procedure. 4:17 - Early Denial B Fleur Cannon requests that Magearna uses Fleur Cannon to unlock it unlike similar conditionals where the trainer is allowed to take action.
This is problematic for optimal sequences because Gladion wont have time to use his excellent Trainer Move within a ramp...
ironically he winds up needing offensive Support.
However one Fleur Cannon Five Stats Down gets you a lot of debuffs for B Fleur Cannon.
In an ironic twist of fate this unlocking conditional ends up being desirable. I wanted to demonstrate Gladion doesnt need Fairy Zone for straight deletion.
SMUN stacks should suffice.
Iono is an excellent Gladion enabler because she can top off B Fleur Cannon with Eerie Impulse.
However I brought a second Support in SS Elesa to wrap some loose ends: enact a ramp fix Gladions Acc and top off Ionos Sp.Atk raises through Five Stats Down.
I got greedy wanting to reach -6 Sp.Atk with Eerie Impulse but you have to pull off the Freevenge bug that torments Hop as you click Metal Claw when youd rather click Behemoth Bash.
Dunno if someone has determined how to pull that off.
Im spamming Eerie Impulse fingers crossed. 5:57 - Boosting Devastation Gladion doesnt need Fairy Zone Part 2.
The Five Stats Down trick is really good at buffing Devastation and Power Play provided your nuker doesnt mind the stat drops.
Lisia is here to rack up points lower Eva and top off Devastation with Moonblast.
I liked Gladions gauge management here between X Speed and Free Move Next. 7:51 - SS Wally Gaming SS Wally offers Fairy Zone Fairy Rebuffs and Sp.Atk drops.
He is one of Gladions most cohesive enablers.
Problem is his B move conditional but SS Dawns turn stalling alleviates that. 9:38 - SS Hau Gaming SS Hau is a much more aggressive version of SS Wally who sacrifices B Fleur Cannons full potential in favor of additional DPS.
He boosts Alola Spirit and offers Team Power Induction 2 to assist Gladion. 11:17 - SS Mina Gaming SS Mina offers Fairy Zone and boosts Alola Spirit although her playstyle is more slow and steady.
I put Bede here because he didnt fit anywhere else but his debuffs are excellent for B Fleur Cannon. 13:30 - Penny Gaming Pennys aggressive TM facilitates Turn 2 denials for Gladion but I felt this was a good time to unleash the fury of max investment Penny to top off Gladion up to 6 Sp.Atk and 4 SMUN with a cheeky fainting trick similar to kamikaze SS Dawn.
